Butterflies and Flowers...

Hey Ya'll,

Thanks for stopping by...  This is a card I put together for a dear friends birthday.  We waited and waited and finally got our hands on a Serenade Solutions cartridge and this is what happened when we were given a favorite color and a reason to play.  Hee! Hee!

This one actually was really quick to put together.

This is a 5 ½” x 8 ½” card. The dark blue matte is 5” x 8”. The sky blue matte is 4 ¾” x 7 ¾”. The strip down the left side is 1” x 7 ¾”. The lacy edge was a scrap cut 7 ¾” long and then cut with a Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch.

The Blue Butterflies are from Serenade. The blue layer for each is cut twice at 2.00. The body is cut from black card at 2.00 and the flourish layer inside the wings is cut from a glitter stock at 2.00. There is one blue butterfly layer glued directly to the matte and then the decorated top layer is added with 3D adhesive to make them stand out.

The flower blossoms are also from Serenade. The large layer is cut from the same yellow glitter stock as the left stripe. All of the layers are also cut at 2.00. They are both added using 3D adhesive as well to make them pop out. The stems are from Serenade also and cut at 3.00.

The Vase is also from Serenade. The base layer was cut twice. Once glued directly to the matte and then the second was added with 3D adhesive. The white top later was glued directly to the 3D layer. These were all cut at 3.00.

On the inside, the dark blue matte was cut 5” x 8”. The light blue matte was cut 4 ¾” x 7 ¾”. The yellow glitter patterned matte was cut 4 ¼” x 7 ¼” and the white sentiment matte was cut 3 ¾” x 6 ¾”.
