With Sympathy...

Hey Ya'll,
This is something that is always hard to write a post about on the blog, but it can be really hard to come up with something that means so much to someone.  When you make cards for everyone, it is even more impersonal to go a purchase a card for such an occasion.  A dear friend of ours lost her Mother last week.  This is the card that we made for her in hope that it will brighten her day as she goes through this hard part of life.
This card is on a light blue base.  The paper is from a new stack I found at Michaels from DCWV.  It is such a classy and elegant selection of papers and this card is going to a very elegant friend.  The cross is cut at a height of 7.00 and comes from the Easter 2010 Seasonal Cartridge.  The dove is from A Child's Year and is cut at a height of 2.20.  The hearts are also from A Child's Year and cut at a height of 1.00.  The ovals are from Lacy Labels and cut at a height of 1.50, 1.80 and 2.20.  The sentiment is from Wild Card and cut at a height of 1.80.
The inside of the card was just put together to match the front.  Everything was inked using a chocolate ink.  We did use 3-D adhesive for the different embellishments.  Overall, I thought that the card turned out very elegant.  I certainly didn't want anything flashy.  She has a very strong faith and loving family, so she will get through this sad time in her life.  i just hope this will bring her a little peace and a little spiritual boost when she opens the mail.  Thank you so much for visiting today and think happy thoughts today.

  1. That is a beautiful card, I'm sure she will cherish it. I love the colors.

  2. Beautiful card that I am sure they will treasure. This is something that I need to do is make a few to keep on hand for those sad sad times. TFS
