Fun Contest with a PRIZE... We need help!!!

Hey Ya'll,
Well... It's a BOY!!!  He just arrived to our home on Saturday.  Isn't he cute?!?
So here is the situation.  He was named Sambo by the breeder.  We think this is a pretty cute name, but not good enough.  We need your help in deciding whether to keep "Sambo" or come up with a new name.  What do you think?

Here is the contest.  What we want you to do is to either decide whether to keep "Sambo" as his name or change it to something else.  If you want us to change it, please come up with a new name.  This is the only thing we can think of.

A couple of clues to help you come up with something new.  He is our third Chihuahua right now.  We have Boots and Choxie.  Boots isn't going to be with us much longer and Choxie would be lost without another one.  He is a tea cup long haired and completely black.  He doesn't have one other color on him.  Full grown, he will weight about 4 lbs, so he is going to stay really tiny.
Obviously, Jill and I are obsessed with crafting and Cricut but there aren't very many names we have been able to come up with.  We already have a "Scrappy" in the family, so that ones out.  Hee! Hee!

So... jump in and leave a comment telling us what to do.  We will leave this at the top until Saturday evening.  We will then decide what to go with.  If you come up with a new name, this will go into the deciding process and if we pick your name, you will win.  If we decide to keep the name, we will randomly select a winner from those who said to keep it.  Please include a way for us to contact you in your post.  Atleast leave your blog address so we can leave you a comment telling you about the prize.

The prize is going to be kept a secret.  A couple of hints... It does include a Cricut Cartridge, Something Anna Griffin and some bling!!!  You will certainly want to get in on this.  You have until 5:00PM on the 2nd of July to decide!  Good Luck!  We can't wait to see what ya'll come up with!

  27. He is adorable..my first though is change it's name to make it your own, and my second thought was you have a dog with a B name and a C name so lets go with an A name chronologically.
Sooo, third we A names indicative of black...you have "Anise" which is the tiny black seed used to make licorice! Good luck with your decision. I have a lot of pets and I know it can be a tough decision.

He sort of reminds me of the dog in the Disney movie Bolt (other than he's black instead of white) so I say Bolt!! Or, sticking with Disney and adding in a little crafty, how about Stitch!?!

  50. Wow, some great ideas for names, ladies. I think he's adorable! Two names I like for dogs are "Barky" which is what my daughter used to call Barclay on Sesame Street when she was little, and Atticus, because it's such a regal sounding name and my favorite literary character. Plus I think it would be cool for a little dog to have such a big name.

As soon as I read he is your third Chihuahua I immediately thought of the name "Tripp".

The name Tripp is very cute - and it is often times used as a nickname for the third person with a name (example John William III - will use the name Tripp instead)

So seeing as this is your third Chihuahua I think the name Tripp would be perfect, cute and very fitting!

So my vote is for Tripp!
