I have a few things to share with you today. First of all, we have the winner of the registration giveaway. We randomly selected someone from everyone who signed up to receive our CTMH newsletter and the winner is...
STEPHANIE BONIN!!! YAY!
I have your address on file Stephanie, so I will get it in the mail for you! Congrats!
Secondly, It's May 1st, so that means there is a new stamp of the month available. I have more projects that I will share with you in the next couple of days, but I am in LOVE with this set. This is something I made with it for inspiration. It's PERFECT for up coming fall projects. BTW... can you believe the year is already a third over with? What happened?!? This is my little sunflower scarecrow. I was particularly pleased with the way he turned out. He is actually cut from several carts and all pieces together with the Gypsy. I will be sharing the Gypsy file in a couple of days. I haven't been able to get the Gypsy files to transfer the last couple of days, so as soon as I can, I will show more details and get you the file in case you want to give him a try.
If you want to get your hands on this set right away, CLICK HERE! It's a really beautiful set. Here are some other things made with the set.
OK... Now that we have that out of the way...
Things are going to be a little light for the next couple of weeks. I hate to say that, but there have been lots of things going on. I will try to keep it short and sweet, but you know... that can be difficult at times.
First of all, we took Ozzy to get fixed on Tuesday. Well, let's just say, his "No Collar" attitude problem was already an issue. It's UNBELIEVABLE how he has been with the cone thing that was put on him. The Vet said it had to be on him for 2 weeks. Well, that's not going to happen, but it's still on him right now. He is pretty well staying completely ticked off, but I think he is now starting to think that he was bad and that we took and had it surgically implanted and that he is stuck with it. So basically, he is sitting around and holding a HUGE grudge. He has had a few issues with his diet and medication which has kept the shampooer very busy. I will spare the details on that one.
Saturday, Jill's car decided it was going to have an attitude too. I think we have finally figured out what the problem is and have the parts on order. There is no one within 100 miles of us that works on Volvos, so we have had to learn about this car the hard way. Fortunately, it's pretty much a tank and we never have problems with it. I think it's just a normal maintenance thing that went bad a little early, so hopefully that will be taken care of soon. Unfortunately, I am not a mechanic at all. I get in my car, turn the ignition and if nothing happens, I get on the cell phone, call someone and say "I think I broke it". Hee! Hee! Jill is a heck of a little mechanic and isn't afraid of anything. She is also a very patient person, so I think she has actually enjoyed working on her baby. She loves that car! I did learn how to replace a fuel filter though. YAY for ME! Not really. After it was all said and done, I would have been very glad to pay the $40.00 labor so that I wouldn't have to do it myself. Hee! Hee! Anyone can work on my car though. Hee! Hee!
Ok... Finally... The last reason, or should I say excuse, for the lack of content is that I am remodeling the craft room finally!!! YAY!!! It's still going to take a couple more days, but when it's done, I will take lots of pictures. I did take before pics too, so you can see the difference. I hope you like it. I am a little nervous whether or not I will be able to fit everything back in there, but I am sure it will all turn out. Fortunately, I have the time off and since Jill's car is broke down waiting for parts, I will have no choice but to work on it since she will have my car. Hee! Hee! I am actually very excited about this as the craft room has kind of gotten out of control. I find myself walking in, sitting down, looking at all of the cool stuff that we have and feeling blessed, but completely blank. There is so much everywhere that I have to get organized again and hopefully will get back to normal. Although, I am pretty proud of the little scarecrow. I thought he was a good sign of getting back to normal. Hee! Hee!
I have more things made and just have to get the pictures all pretty and will get some more projects on the blog, but just wanted to let you know... it will be a little later. It just seems to be going completely crazy around here. Some bad, more good, so life is still close to perfection. If there were either 4 to 8 more hours in a day (or 4 to 8 more hours of energy for me), it would be perfect. Hee! Hee!
Well, thanks so much for letting me get all that out today. I would love to hear what you think of this month's set and my little scarecrow card. We sure appreciate the visit today!
